Belinda Vierthaler, LMSW, LACHA

Belinda is a licensed Master Social Worker and licensed Adult Care Home Administrator. She has worked as an Administrator in skilled nursing and assisted living communities and served as the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman under the administrations of Governor Parkinson and Governor Brownback. She developed the Administrator-In-Training program and taught the assisted living operators course at Johnson County Community College. Currently, she is the Chief Development Officer for Evergreen Living Innovations, Inc.

About this course

In any organization, there are times when conflicts arise.  It is crucial to provide ongoing education to all staff on how to effectively resolve conflict.  Conflict resolution training can benefit every individual – both at home and on the job.  This class would be helpful for staff working in any facet of long term care. 

  • Discuss that open and honest communication and a team environment can help keep conflict at bay.
  • Recognizing we are humans and from time to time conflict will still arise.
  • Describe causes and types of conflict
  • Explain skills for resolving conflict in a way that achieves optimal results, does not add fuel to the fire and deepens understanding and relationships.
